I'm so sorry you are struggling with these burdensome issues. Giving them to the Lord is not something we can do once and be done with but we do it over and over and over again. This requires constant dependence on our Saviour. This is what He takes joy in. As if we are little children coming to our Father when we struggle, so should we come to God.

There will always be someone to be jealous of or resentful of - even if you had all the things you desire right now. It's learning to put those thoughts to death will you then be able to experience life and joy with what you have.

For example. Myself. I see you own two houses - we can't even afford rent. It's easy to be whistful and desire what you have but I keep having to remind myself that the Lord has put us here and we are to be faithful with what He has blessedly given.

My housemate always takes about speaking the Promises of God and speaking Praise. If you say (outloud) that you are giving these things to the Lord, if you sing praises, if you quote scripture, it's very easy to have that 'blind' faith you want. She is a tremendous gift to me because I often forget to praise the Lord first and foremost but once you start doing it, it becomes habit and once you habitualize yourself to it you start believing it.

Love you much.

Coltin is 15 mos old. I can't believe it, but he is. I will have to check out blogspot. I don't do many fancy things, so this site tends to work out for me pretty well, though.

I can't believe what has been happening with your renter! Mike and I are very upset that the Church is not pushing her to give restitution (ie pay you back the money). That is very wrong.

In joyful news, praise God the strike is over!

Let me run this by the husband - I have been making jewlery and would love to sell it! I only have about 12-20 pieces right now so I would have to up my game like CRAZY and things are really busy for us - so perhaps that is a unwise endeavor right now but I will see what Mike thinks!

We FEEL your pain. While we don't know the burden of having to pay 2 morgages, we do know the pain of working hard with little to show for it. I can't STAND the thought of Mike working 16 hour days - 6 days a week and not being able to enjoy his family. Why are we working so hard? Why are we missing one another so much? If we can't make rent, if we live above our means, why bother???

In yesterday's sermon His Garden our Pastor mentioned Ecclesastes and I decided it would be good for me to start studying it again. From the VERY FIRST SERMON, I was totally into it. He is talking about EXACTLY what our families are going through. I hope you have a chance to listen to it and perhaps it will bless you as it blessed me.
